Debra Feger-Majewski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. - East Peoria on Jan. 13, 2026.
Debra "Deb" J. Feger-Majewski, 68, of Germantown Hills, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 9, 2026, at her home. She was born in Peoria on April 28, 1957, to William and Shirley (Gossman) Feger. She married her husband of 30 years, Thomas Majewski, on May 27, 1995, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights; he survives.

She is also survived by her son, Noah Majewski of East Peoria and three siblings, Cindi (Vern) Cox of Groveland, Terri (Dennis) Gualandi of East Peoria, and Tony (Melinda) Feger of Richmond, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and one infant brother.

Deb graduated from EPCHS in 1975, where she played clarinet in the marching band and achieved recognition as a Junior Olympics Archery Champion. She has kept close ties with many classmates and recently celebrated with them at their 50th Class Reunion. After beginning her career at Caterpillar, she returned to school while working full-time and earned her Bachelor's Degree of Science with a major in Natural Sciences from Illinois Wesleyan University. After devoting more than 35 years to the company, she retired as a purchasing analyst, always taking great pride in being a third-generation Caterpillar employee.

Deb was a hard-working consummate professional, who still found time to always be available for the Boy Scouts as a Den Mom, and baker of all things delicious for church. She thoroughly enjoyed the company of whomever she was with; friends old and new. Deb was phenomenal at knitting and never let an opportunity pass by to be crafty; using her many talents to help whenever there was a need. Traveling around the world and caring for feathered and four-legged friends were some of her many passions.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10 a.m., with burial following at Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Lunch and a time to share stories and celebrate Deb's life will follow at St. Thomas Church in Peoria Heights, starting at Noon Friday. Family and friends are invited to a continued celebration at Burger Barge in East Peoria following the luncheon at St. Thomas.

Memorial contributions may be made to T.A.P.S. in Pekin or Illinois Cancer Care. Online condolences may be left at www.GaryDeitersFH.com.
