Debra Ann McCloud Mallow, 68, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life, Sunday, October 12, 2025, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
Debra was born Thursday, December 27, 1956, in Elkins, a daughter of the late James William McCloud and Ina Ruth Ball McCloud. On September 27, 1998, in Elkins, she married Dennis Herman Mallow who survives at home.
Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Michael "Mikey" Westfall and wife Samantha of Morgantown, and Amy Calain and fiancé Tyler Newlon of Montrose, grandchildren, Austen, Isaiah, Jacob, Kelsie, Sydney, Kiley, great-grandchild, Bentlee, and three great-grandchildren; all due by the end of the year, her step mother, Patty McCloud, siblings, Kathy Skidmore and husband Sonny, Terri McCloud and companion Jay Cooper, Jimmy McCloud and wife DeeDee, Missy Reger and husband Brad, step sister, Christie Moore, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was one infant sister, Sandy McCloud.
Debra was a 1975 graduate of Elkins High School. She had been employed as a babysitter when her children were young. Then she had been employed as a waitress at the Steer Steakhouse, and for many years as a biller/coder for Dr. Ashton Curtis. She enjoyed painting ceramics with her mom, was a quilter and loved family gatherings and camping. Debra really enjoyed showing her sheltie, Shimmer, at dog shows. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkins where she also loved babysitting. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center for the kindness and care they showed Debra during her stay at the facility.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11 am until 1 pm. Debra's request for cremation will then be honored.
