Debra Jean Morton, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. Born on February 19, 1962, to the late John Wesley Lawson and Wanda Ann Silley, Debra was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met.
Debra is survived by her devoted husband, George Morton, who will carry on her legacy of love and kindness. She also leaves behind her cherished son, David Morton; her beloved grandchildren, Destiny Morton, Chevy Lynch, Hayley Haysley, and Jeremiah Lynch; and her precious great-grandchildren, Heaven and Elijah Morton.
Debra is now reunited in heaven with her daughter, Desirae Haysley-Morton, and her angel grandbabies, Mason Ray Allen Morton and Ellie Jean Morton, whom she held dearly in her heart.
In life, Debra found joy in the little things. She loved spending time with family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Known for her vibrant personality, she enjoyed hosting gatherings, cooking, cleaning, decorating, knitting, and crafting. Her warmth and creativity brought beauty and joy to those around her.
A burial service to honor Debra’s life will take place on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Debra’s love for her family and friends, her passion for life, and her ability to make every moment special will be forever remembered by those who were blessed to know her.
