Debra Ann Parsons

Debra Ann "Debbie" (Shields) Parsons, age 69, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at her home in Leeton, MO.

She was born on February 22, 1956, in Moundville, MO to Ralph and Lorene (Bright) Shields, and baptized in Chilhowee, MO.

On December 28, 1974, she and Harold Parsons were united in marriage in Chilhowee, MO.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Harold Parsons; her daughter, Staci Looney and her husband Richard of Clinton, MO; her son, Jeff Parsons and his wife Bonnie of Chilhowee, MO; her son, Justin Parsons and his wife Brandy of Holden, MO; her son, Shane Parsons of Holden, MO; her brother, Ed Shields and his wife Sandy of Chilhowee, MO; her brother, Leonard Shields and his wife Margaret of Chilhowee, MO; her sister, Jayne Bywater of Sierra Vista, AZ; her sister, Donna Sherron and her husband Tom of Smithfield, NC; her sister, Cindy Hill and her husband Darrel of Chilhowee, MO; as well as 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Donald Shields, Richard Shields, and Tommy Shields; her sister, Virginia Austin; and her son, Shoan Parsons.

Debbie will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished through a legacy of stories, laughter, and love shared with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, at the Leeton Community Building.
