Debra Ann Thanasouk ~ "Debbie"

February 27, 1963 – October 2, 2025

Debbie was born on February 27, 1963, to James and Bessie Simpson. Born before her were siblings: James "Jimmy", Lori, Danette "Dannie", Julie and (Debbie's twin) David. Debbie was born and raised in Portland with her family in Southeast and North Portland. Except for a handful of years, she lived her entire life in Portland and was a proud Oregonian.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Khamphouk Thanasouk, whom she shares 4 children with: Danette, Kaleena, Kaleesa & Kavay. She was a loving grandmother to: Cassie, Jackson, Katelyn, Kevin, Kingsley & Katrina. Debbie was gloriously happy to be titled Grandma Great to Mia Rose in 2021. Debbie is also survived by her siblings: Dannie and David. She is also the beloved aunt to 3 nephews, 3 nieces and many great-nephews/nieces. Debbie was honored to be considered "Aunt" by so many people through the years, that the number is immeasurable.

Debbie was known for her generosity and was always ready to buy gifts for all the children in her life, even if they had no relation to her. She loved sharing holidays with friends and family, but she loved spoiling her grandkids and great-granddaughter Mia the most.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents James Simpson and Bessie Simpson; her sisters Lori Simpson and Julie Utter and her brother James "Jimmy" Simpson.
