Debra L. Waldron

Debra L. Waldron, 71, of Endicott, NY passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her home on August 11, 2025.

Born in Johnson City, NY, she was the youngest daughter of the late Benedict J. and Jean M. Pappenheimer. After attending Vestal High School, she entered the workforce and explored various career paths through the different eras of her life. She ultimately landed at IBM as a quality assurance inspector. She was proud of the work she did there and the role she played in technology development. In her later years, she enjoyed playing solitaire, hearts or mojang, watching the squirrels play in her yard, and always kept an eye out for her cardinal and blue jay. She took pride in being part of the unofficial neighborhood watch, and loved her neighbors like her second family.

She is survived by her daughter Maggi (& Roy) Herman, her son, John (& Veronica) Waldron, six grandchildren: Lisa (& Ozhan), Erin, Roy, Brittany (& Jeff), Alexis and Ashley, as well as four great-grandchildren, her sister, Yvonne (& Garrett) Schanck, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Her family would like to give special thanks to her neighbors: Jim & Ellen, Palmette, Michael & Gina, Zach & Renee, and the late Dora Mancini, and lastly her trusted mechanic of 20+ years, Matt, of First Choice Auto, who she loved like a bonus son. Thank you all for always looking out and caring for her.

In honoring Deb's wishes, no formal services will take place at this time. Instead, she asked to encourage family, friends, and loved ones to take a moment of personal reflection, cherish all of your moments together & always remember to lead with pure intentions. Any personal condolences can be mailed to 199 Pheasant Ln, Lawton PA 18828. In her memory, donations can be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Stroke Association.
