Renee is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Richard and thier children, Erin (Bill) Erle, Ellicott City, MD, Mark (Patty) Wallikas, Summerville, SC and Aimee (Matt) Daly, Ellicott City, MD. Also her 7 grandchildren that she doted on, Annie (Kurt) Burdick, Emily Erle, Sarah Wallikas, Ryan Erle, Zachary Daly, Cecilia Daly and William Daly. Renee is also survived by her beloved sisters Kathleen Ruffo and Colleen Foote, her brother in law Paul Ruffo and her brother Timothy Foote, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be deeply missed.
Renee worked for 25 years at Broome Development Center in Binghamton. She was proud to be a life long member of St. James Church, Johnson City. In her free time Renee liked to read and vacation with Richard. Together they traveled many places including Ireland, England, Italy, Greece and the Caribbean. She especially enjoyed cruises with Richard and close friends Don and Betty Huff. And Renee also enjoyed her vacations at Cape May, NJ every summer for 25 years with her children and grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Johnson City at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 at the church. The Reverend Corey Van Kuren will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery
The family wishes to extend thier gratitude to the aides, nurse and doctors at Guthrie Lourdes Hospice fo their devotion and care for Renee over the past several years. The family would especially like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Defferante, Brenda, Hannah, Shannon, Sharon, Kim and Lisa and a very special thank you to Crystal, whose daily care and compassion made Renee's journey over the last 3 years easier.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Guthrie Lourdes Hospice in Renee's name.
