Shirley Ann LaForce, 91, of Binghamton entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Born July 12, 1934, she is predeceased by her parents Laura & Dayton Eddy and brother Harold Eddy. Shirley is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dean LaForce, sister Katherine Blanc, sons Todd LaForce (Debbie) & Joel LaForce (James Faraino); granddaughters Ashly Whalen (Christopher), Chelsy Rafferty (Josh), & Kaily LaForce (Jeff Wilson); great-grandchildren Everly & Evren Whalen and June Rafferty; and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley devoted her life to teaching children, retiring as a kindergarten teacher from the Johnson City School District. She also volunteered for many years as a Sunday School teacher and spent countless days crafting and baking with her granddaughters. She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, which will continue to live on through all of them.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the dedicated staff at Elizabeth Church Manor for the outstanding care they provided to Shirley over the past four years. A private burial will be held at the family's convenience at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Parish, NY.
