Warren D. LaForce, age 97, of Erwin, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Scott County, VA, Warren is a son of the late Ebb and Pearl LaForce. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was also a candidate for the Space Program, but chose not to participate. Warren was a Chemical Engineer and Lab Supervisor with many years of employment at both Allied Chemical and Eastman Chemical. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Grace LaForce; brothers, Leonard LaForce, Jimmy LaForce, John LaForce; sisters, Lois Wood, Gladys Wagner, Ester LaForce; step-brothers, Taft LaForce, Robert LaForce, Holiday LaForce; and step-sister, Elizabeth Kimbler. Warren D. LaForce has left behind to cherish his memory: children: William Edward LaForce (Mary Elizabeth), Patricia Ann LaForce, David Warren LaForce, Jerry Lynn LaForce (Michelle Klug), and Roland Douglas LaForce (Tina); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Mildred Owens, Sylvia Pierson, Naomi Benton, and Marlene LaForce.Per Warren's wishes, he will be cremated and interred at Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later date.
