Mulhane Home For Funerals - MillburyMarie A. LaForce, 84, passed away peacefully at the Life Care Center of Auburn, Ma on August 17, 2025 with family by her side.
Marie is predeceased by her parents William K. LaForce and Gertrude LaForce-White, her sister Judith A. Bakal and brother-in-law Uri Bakal, and her great-nephew PFC Brian Moquin who was killed in action on May 5, 2006 in Afghanistan.
Marie is survived by her sister Catherine Vaillancourt and brother-in-law Ernest Vaillancourt of Millbury, MA, and her brother Kenneth LaForce and sister-in-law Cathryn LaForce of Freeland, Washington.
Marie leaves many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews who she treated like they were her own. Marie never had any children but would babysit for all the nieces and nephews and anyone else’s children without hesitation. Especially for Julia and Evan Queeney who she cherished.
Marie also leaves several cousins whom she loved as brothers and sisters as well as her longtime best friend Gail Moran.
Marie worked her whole adult life as a legal secretary for Adele Moroney and then later for Bill Sullivan and Debbie Queeney at Donohue, Rauscher and McGrail of Worcester.
Marie was passionate about playing the piano, solving her many crossword puzzles, watching her favorite soap opera-Days of our Lives, and crocheting. She made numerous baby blankets for everyone she knew that were having babies and then some.
Some of Marie’s many other interests included listening to country music by Willie Nelson, watching Hallmark movies, and collecting Shirley Temple memorabilia.
Marie’s entire family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to all of the Staff at Life Care Center in Auburn for all their care and compassion while Marie was with them.
Marie’s graveside services will be held on October 4, 2025 at 11am at the Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery, 217 Richards Ave Paxton, MA 01612.
A celebration of life luncheon will follow at 12:30 at Peppercorns Restaurant 455 Park Ave Worcester Ma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org or to a charity of your choice.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
