Mrs. Debra Lynn Wilson, 69, of Indian Land, SC, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 5, 2025, at her home with her husband and children by her side. She was born November 9, 1955 in Rock Hill, SC, a daughter of the late Tommie Wilburn Lambert and Madeline Willis Lambert.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wilson will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Belair United Methodist Church in Indian Land, SC with the Rev. Ryan Gladden officiating. The family will receive loved ones after the service in the Family Life Center.
Born and raised in Fort Mill, SC, Mrs. Wilson graduated from Fort Mill High School. She held many jobs over the years at Homelite, Sea Ray, and Indian Land Elementary School food services but her greatest calling and joy came from being "Mama" to her children, Tommy and Ashley. She was always there to support them at any of their activities such as marching band competitions, school concerts and soccer games. She was proud of all their accomplishments and made sure they knew how much she loved them. She was thrilled to become a "Grandmaw" to Madilynn, Anna Kate, and Judah and enjoyed watching them dance and play soccer as well as taking trips with them to the beach, her happy place.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty-nine years, Norman Holland Wilson; her son, Tommy Allen Wilson and his wife Kristen of Indian Land, SC; her daughter, Ashley Amanda Wilson Harris of Kannapolis, NC; her grandchildren, Anna Kate and Judah Wilson of Indian Land, SC; her sister, Beverly Lambert Kolibabek and her husband Gene of Rock Hill, SC; her brother, Robert Wayne Lambert and his wife Jan of Rock Hill, SC; many nieces and nephews; and her furry companion, Jasper.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Madilynn Christine Wilson, who we know greeted her in heaven with the biggest hug and, "I love you to the moon and back!"
