In Loving Memory of Deepa Israni (1941–2025)

Deepa Israni, 84, of Parsippany, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025, the same date as her birthday, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Sindh in 1941, Deepa migrated to Mumbai during the partition where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She settled in Ahmedabad after her marriage to Nanik Israni, where she lived for 10 years. In 1972, she moved to the United States, where she lovingly raised her three children, Anita, Rajesh, and Dinesh, and pursued a successful career in life insurance sales.

Deepa's greatest joy in life came from being with her family, including her mother, eight siblings, her three children, her seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, along with countless beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit touched the lives of many beyond her family circle. She was beloved, cherished, and admired by all who knew her.

Deepa had a beautiful voice and was invited to conduct religious prayer ceremonies across the globe. A complete recording of her Satyanarayan Katha can be found at: tinyurl.com/SatyanarayanKatha-DeepaIsrani. In addition to her love for music and devotion, Deepa found immense happiness in traveling, cooking, attending celebrations, visiting temples, swimming, and enjoying the spa.

Deepa lived a life full of love, faith, and connection. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit lives on through her songs, her family, and the many lives she touched.

Her funeral service will take place Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9am-12pm at Par-Troy Funeral Home in Parsippany, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Sadhu Vaswani Center, 494 Durie Avenue, Closter, New Jersey 07652. Donations can be made via check, Zelle ([email protected]), or Venmo (732-658-5299).

Any family or friends who are unable to attend the funeral service may attend virtually via Zoom: https://domaincapitalgroup.zoom.us/j/96170960555
