Deidra Anne Marti, age 64, of Jasper, Missouri, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Deidra was born on September 14, 1960, in Joplin, Missouri, to Rex Leon Bauer and Darlene (Howard) Bauer. She graduated from Jasper High School with the Class of 1978. On June 9, 1978, she married the love of her life of 47 years, Kent (Butch) Eugene Marti in Jasper, Missouri.
Deidra worked for many years at the Empire Electric Call Center, where she eventually retired. She also held various other jobs throughout her life. In addition, she was the proud owner of a flower shop in Jasper, Missouri, where she shared her creativity and love with the community. Above all, Deidra loved her family deeply. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and took great joy in caring for them throughout the years. Her warm heart and generous spirit made her a beloved presence in the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her mother, Darlene (Howard) Bauer; her husband, Kent (Butch) Marti of Jasper, Missouri; her son, Kaleb Marti and his wife Katelyn of Carthage, Missouri; two cherished grandchildren, Madison and Hudson Marti of Carthage, Missouri; her sister, Dana Hern and her husband John of Jasper, Missouri. She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family of nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.
Deidra was preceded in death by her father, Rex Bauer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Missouri. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Contributions are suggested and may be made payable to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
