Born on January 14, 1938, in Salyersville, Kentucky, Della was one of ten children of the late Charles and Gracie Baldridge Wireman. She carried the values of hard work and family throughout her life, most notably during her long career at Kroger, where she managed the bakery department. Her love for baking extended well beyond the workplace-her home was often filled with the comforting aroma of homemade treats, lovingly prepared for her family. Cooking was another of her cherished talents, and she took great joy in sharing meals and memories around the table.
Della is survived by her devoted children: John (Teresa) Kidd, Elaine Rogers, Robert (Colleen) Kidd, Ronald Kidd, and Kathaleen (Eric) Szpota. Her legacy continues through numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and strength she instilled in her family. She is also survived by her brother, Tom (Bertha) Wireman, and her sister Joyce Shipley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Sandra Kay.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by Harold W. Vick Funeral Home in Mount Clemens, Michigan, in partnership with Eastman Funeral Home in New London, Ohio. Details regarding visitation, services, and burial in Ohio will be announced as they become available.
