Della Mae Cheramie Danos, 94, a native and resident of Larose, LA, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Larose, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery. 

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Walker and Barbara Christen (Panky); grandchildren, Troy Sampey (Stephanie), Tait Sampey (Jenny), Addy Melancon, Eric Christen, Ty Sampey (Tiffany) and Ashley Danos; great grandchildren, Brock Sampey, Brooke Travis (Austin), Angelique Legendre, Angelle Legendre, Trittnie Sampey, Madison Sampey, Trey Sampey, Baylon Sampey, Rustyn Duet and Brooklyn Messer, Zailey Ougel and great-great grandchildren, Hayzlee Travis, Emoree Travis and Charlee Travis; brother, Herman Cheramie; sisters, Della Pitre and Dorothy Legendre.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Danos; son, Scott Danos; son-in-law, Tim Walker; parents, Louis Cheramie, Sr. and Verdie Brunet Cheramie; brothers, Tillman Cheramie, Herbert Cheramie, Sr. and Louis Cheramie, Jr. and sisters Gladys Guidry, Julia Matherne and Dolores Champagne.

Della Mae was a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed going to the casinos and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
