Delmar J. Mikels

Delmar J. Mikels, age 84, died on Thursday, October 27, 2011.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Mikels, of Portsmouth, Iowa; children, Denise (Leo) Leonard, of Waterloo, Iowa, Dean Mikels, of Portsmouth, Diane (Peter) Coret, of Woodbine, Iowa, Donna (Michael) Schmidt, of Harlan, Iowa, and Danette Mikels, of Portsmouth; 9 grandchildren; sister, Dolores (John) Hicks, of Manhatten Beach, Calif.; and brother, Richard Mikels, of Portsmouth.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 30, 2011, from 12 to 5 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home, of Harlan, Iowa, followed by a visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, of Portsmouth, Iowa, with wake service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 31, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., also at the church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, of Portsmouth.
