Judy E. Mikels

Judy E. Mikels, 87, of Lafayette, IN went home to be with her Savior on June 27, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Mikels.
She was born in Lafayette to Virginia Waldron and Young Hargis. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School.
She held many jobs over the years including telephone operator, hospitality manager, realtor, apartment manager and office manager for several chiropractic and law offices.
She loved her Lord, her family and travel, living in many states including Indiana, Illinois, California, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. She considered Delphi Assembly of God as her home church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother George Everett, sister Shirley Lane, and stepson Greg Mikels.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Mikels, four children, Dawn (Don) Hatten, Mike Breece, with whom she made her home, Steve (Kathi) Breece, Brad (Shelley) Breece, all of Lafayette IN, and a stepdaughter Ann Marie Mikels (Terry) Briggs of West Virginia. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. As well as a sister, Marily McIntyre and a brother Mike Everett both of Illinois.
A celebration of life will be held in Lafayette at a later date.
