Obituary of Delmer Stewart
Delmer Stewart of Louisa, Kentucky formerly of Harold, Kentucky in Floyd County passed peacefully from this life January 7, 2024 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
Delmer was born on June 18, 1937 on Little Mud to the late Annie Kidd Stewart and William "Bee" Stewart. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by wife Joene Keathley Stewart; his son Joel Dean Stewart; a grandson Braxton Tackett; sisters Ruth Widner, Helen Hall, and Nell Harvey; a brother Denver Stewart; and several special brothers in law and two sister in laws.
He was a long time asphalt plant operator at Mountain Enterprises in Shelbina, Kentucky. He lived over 50 years of his life on Toler Creek Kentucky, moving to Louisa in 2018 where he remained until his passing. Delmer loved life and was always ready to prank or get a joke on you. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family, but always did it with a smile and a lot of humor. He was a master at rook, poker, and cornhole.
Delmer is survived by his daughter Melissa Blair and husband Bobby; grandchildren Landon Hall and his wife Andrea who were both very special to him, Montana Dillon and husband Nate, and Karissa Blair; a great granddaughter Kimber Blake Hall who was a light in his last few years; sisters Lois King and Bonnie Humble; and a host of nieces and nephews all of which where his favorite or at least told that at different times.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 13th at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Willie Meade officiating.
Care for Delmer and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
