Delores M. Hardisky, 94, of Edinburg passed away the morning of May 5, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Wilkes Barre, PA on April 28, 1931, Delores was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Lelenko Hayduchak.
On November 26, 1949 Delores married her beloved husband, James F. Hardisky. Jim preceded her death on January 20, 2022.
In the early years Delores had worked at Southside Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and then for Villa Maria Health Center for thirty years, until she retired.
Delores was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. She volunteered at the Women's Shelter for many years. Delores also enjoyed visiting casinos and traveling with her husband. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Delores's greatest joy was spending time with all of her family.
Delores is survived by her two children, Linda Rachic and Diana Gorski (Ron), two grandchildren, Brian Pierog (Jodi) and James Graff (Ela) and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Delores was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Boots and Theresaa Breitkreutz, her granddaughter, Stacey Lambert and her son-in-law, Sy Rachic.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Father John Gizler will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
