Delores Elaine Kudrna

Delores Kudrna, age 93, formerly of Ivanhoe, MN passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Cardigan Ridge Care Center in Little Canada, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 3rd at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Wilno, MN. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel of Canby, MN has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Delores Elaine Kudrna was born May 2, 1931 on a farm in Royal Township to Stanley and Mary (Lipinski) Remerowski. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Cantius Catholic Church Wilno, Minnesota. She graduated from Wilno Parochial school and the Ivanhoe Public High School. She furthered her education at the Rochester School of Nursing at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. After graduation, she did post graduate studies in Pharmacology and Obstetrics. She then worked at the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, MN for 4½ years.
On November 12, 1956, she married George Kudrna at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno. They purchased the Kudrna farm in Limestone Township and remained there until 2014 then moved to Divine Providence Hospital apartments. To this union, two daughters were born, Sandra and Lori. After taking some time off from nursing to raise her family, she began working at Divine Providence when it was built in 1967 and continued until the hospital closed in 2021.
Delores was a member of St. John Cantius Rosary Society and served several years a
s secretary. She was instrumental in forming her rosary group. St. Andrew of the Apostles which she named in honor of Fr. Andrew Wojiak. She was a past member of the advisory board at Divine Providence and the Schoenstatt of the Apostles. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening, yardwork, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Sandra (Steve) Olson of Bloomington, MN and Lori (Jim) Miller of Lino Lakes, MN; five grandchildren Alysha (Tanner) Nelson, Eryn Olson, Chelsea (Josh) Miska, Justin Miller, and Ryan (Catherine) Miller; four great grandchildren Brayton, Ryker, Dashel, and Kayden; one sister Rosie Muchlinski, one brother Francis (Jan) Remerowski, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Kudrna; her parents, brother, Donald, sisters, Lorraine and Bernadette.
