Delores Joan Mozingo

Delores Joan Mozingo, 80, of Owings, MD, passed away on October 18, 2024. Born on October 11, 1944, Joannie dedicated her life to nurturing not only her own children but also the children of her community, serving as a stay-at-home mom before embarking on a career as a medical clerk at an OB/GYN provider until her retirement.
Joannie graduated from Calvert High School and was a lifelong member of the North Beach Union Church. She shared 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ronnie Mozingo. Joannie was a passionate fan of the Washington Nationals and the Washington Redskins, and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Mozingo; son, Ronald Mozingo, Jr. (Dawn); daughters, Virginia Kobersteen (Joel) and Rachel Griffith (Sandy); grandchildren, Danyelle Moscati (Micah), Alexander Kobersteen, Hunter Griffith, Christopher Kobersteen, Tyler Griffith, and Casey Mozingo; and her sister, Claudia Leiphart (Dennis). Joannie was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Joan Mozingo; brother, Robert Tucker; and her parents, Delores and Wade Wilson Tucker.
Joannie will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and her unwavering support of her favorite sports teams. Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
