Harold Ellis "Ellie" Greenberg, 79, passed away October 7, 2025 at his home in Dunkirk, MD. Son of the late Robert and Johanna (Faletti) Greenberg, Ellie grew up in Bethesda where he graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. He graduated from Benjamin Franklin University and worked for many years as a CPA with several Federal government agencies. In 2007 he retired from the Department of Health and Human Services. Ellie enjoyed softball, game playing with family and friends, movie going, golfing, bowling, and traveling with his wife, Diane. He was often found playing or snuggling with his beloved dogs Riley and Jackson. He is survived by his wife Diane Osterhus, children Jason and Michael (Jennifer), and grandchildren Ashley, Madison, Nicholas, Laela, and Calleigh. He was preceded in death by his sister Roberta Hitt.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Rausch Funeral Home on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 11 am – 12 noon, with a service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ellie's memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd, Lilburn, GA 30047 or to The Parkinson's Foundation at 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
