Our Loving Heavenly Father has called another Angel Home- Deloris Wyatt Wills, went to her final resting place on November 8, 2024. She was 89. Deloris (also called Dee by many friends) was born in Darlington, SC, on November 1, 1935. She passed away quietly in her sleep at home in Summerville, SC, with some of her children beside her.
Deloris spent more than 30 years working for Shoney's Restaurant in Summerville. She was passionate about her work there and often said she never had a day she did not want to be there! She never met a stranger! Deloris loved her pet cats, the Atlanta Braves, working in her yard of many flowers, watching Soap Operas and shopping! She also loved to get lost in her books!
Our mother is survived by her children; Diane (Wally) Jarnagin; La Donnis (James) Herzog; Cindy (Arthur) Dildine; and Dale (Clarissa) Wills; her Grandchildren: Karen (Chris) Haynes; Matthew (Katie) Jarnagin; Taylor Johnson, Wyatt Dildine; and Great Grandchildren; Savannah Grace Haynes, Sarah Jarnagin, Julie Jarnagin, and Jayce Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her son, Durham O. Albert, Jr. and her Daughter Debbie Johnson; and her grandchild Jamie Mellard.
Deloris was also a long standing Gold Star Recipient (Spouse of a Fallen Soldier) since 1953. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations in Memory of Deloris Wyatt Wills be made to America's Gold Star Families.
