Delphia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved Jesus and her family with all she had in her and her heart's desire was to care for everyone. She spent many years as a stay-at-home mother, caring for her children and many other children whether it be family or friends. She was a "Mama" to so many. Once her children got older, she obtained her CNA certification and went to work for Davis Healthcare for 25 years, positively impacting many more lives on her beautiful life journey and often being referred to by the resident's family members as an "Angel on Earth." She retired to take care of her husband at home.
The family would like to also acknowledge special people who touched her life, her dear neighbor who was like another son to her Johnny King. Special friends who she enjoyed lunches, visits and talks with, Sheila Lea, Nadine Millis, and Doris Blake and lastly her "adopted daughter" Stephanie Lea Randall.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses on the seventh floor at Novant Health, all the staff at Lower Cape Fear Hospice as well as her heart doctors Dr. William Buchanan, Dr. James Forrester, and her primary care doctor Dr. Sean Hommel. Truly they are angels on this earth.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Hampstead Baptist Church, 67 Factory Road,
