Delrita Jean Bracy was born on October 12, 1963, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Abraham Bracy and Charlene Potter Bracy, both of whom preceded her in death. She was thereafter lovingly raised by her stepmother, Mildred F. Hancock Bracy, who also preceded her in death.
At an early age, Delrita accepted Christ at Rising Star Baptist Church in St. Louis, where she began her lifelong journey of faith. She graduated from Jennings High School and soon embarked on a career in the hospitality industry, serving faithfully and diligently as a hotel housekeeper.
More than twenty years ago, Delrita relocated to Arkansas to live with her beloved uncle and aunt, Clifton and Essie Avant. There, she united with Taylor Chapel CME Church, where her quiet faith and gentle spirit continued to shine. She remained devoted to her work in housekeeping until her health declined.
Delrita was a woman of soft-spoken grace and unwavering kindness. Her gentle demeanor, warm smile, and humble heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and lived each day with quiet dignity.
On Monday, June 16, 2025, Delrita transitioned peacefully from this life at Forrest City Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, and one beloved nephew. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Willie (Dawn) Bracy, and her sister, Laveeka Bracy (Larry) Davis, both of St. Louis, Missouri; three nieces; one nephew; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends-each of whom will forever remember her faith, her humility, and her enduring quiet strength.
Delrita's legacy of love, grace, and gentle faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
