DeLyn Farr

DeLyn M. Farr, 87 of Abilene passed away November 27, 2025. She was born April 28, 1938 in La Crosse, Kansas the daughter of William Starr and Evelyn Scheuerman. She served as a dedicated school secretary, where her tough love and kindness along with her positive spirit made a lasting impact on thousands of students, staff, and the entire school community during her 37 years of service. DeLyn is survived by her children: Stoney Farr (Debbie); Mark Farr (Kathy); Kari Butler (Gene) and Dori Farr. Seven grandchildren: Megan Kissel; Jessica Pyle; Dakota Hoekman; Mollie Rohrbaugh; Shay Post; Alyssa Farr and Parker Farr. Ten great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Darlene Starr. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Charlie Hines and brother, William "Bill: Starr Jr. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at New Trail Fellowship Church. Burial will follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 P.M., at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Delyn Farr Scholarship Fund to be used for students going into nursing.
