Elizabeth Jane Allen (Gish), 77 of Abilene, Kansas passed away on April 30th, 2025. Jane was born May 5th, 1947 at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene. She was the youngest daughter of five children to Homer William Gish and Dorothy Opal (Taylor) Gish. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Gish of Salt Lake City and a sister Judith Rutz of Channelview, Texas. She has two surviving brothers, Duane Gish of Bushton, Kansas and Thurman Gish of Lawrence, Kansas. Jane grew up in Enterprise and attended Chapman High School, graduating May 25 of 1965. She then married her high school sweetheart, John Robert Allen and went off to Cloud Community College. Jane worked as a nurse's Aide in several nursing homes. Jane loved crafts and knitting, always making something. She also loved working in the yard. Just mostly loved being at her home. Jane had two sons, JonR. Allen and his better half Lisa Korte and Christopher James Allen and his wife Rose Allen. Three grandchildren, Katie Jo Allen, John Reid Allen and his wife Kymee Bair Allen and Alyssa Huesman. Jane's wishes were to be cremated and have a service in Abilene then be laid to rest outside of Enterprise, Kansas. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 6 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery south of Enterprise. The family suggests memorials to be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third ST., Abilene, Kansas 67410

Very sorry to learn of Jane's passing. She and Robert are together once again in Heaven. Robert and I were in AHS Class of 1960.
