Denis H. Molnar

Denis Molnar, age 89 passed peacefully at home with his loving family by his side, on November 6, 2025. He was born February 4, 1936 in Union City, NJ to Joseph and Anna Molnar.

Denis built a fulfilling 40 year career in accounting at Exxon Research and Engineering, where he first met his future wife Pat. While he took great pride in his work, his greatest joy and purpose was always his family. Denis married Pat in April, 1959 and together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, family and faith. Denis was a devoted husband for 61 years.

To his family, Denis was a steady foundation, patient, loyal, dependable and full of love. His legacy lives on not only in cherished memories but in the values and strength he instilled in those he loved. His generosity was beyond measure.

He was the loving & devoted father to Denise Cusick, Debra Barry, Patty Helthall, Brenda Valente, Doreen Dransfield and Denis Molnar. Grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of 8. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his sense of humor, caring spirit and unwavering devotion to the people he loved.

Viewing will be held at Scanlan Funeral Home (781 Newark Pompton Tpke, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444) on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Magnificat Church (2 Miller Rd, Kinnelon, NJ 07405) on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
