Theresa "Terry" Cassidy

Theresa "Terry" Cassidy, 76, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025.

Born and raised in Paterson, Terry was the daughter of the late Vincent and Elizabeth Parrillo. She grew up alongside her three brothers and one sister, forming bonds that remained close throughout her life.

Terry dedicated over 40 years to The Okonite Company, where she held a variety of positions ranging from secretarial work to production. She married Michael Cassidy, Jr., and together they made their home in Rutherford, where they raised their beloved son, Michael III. After her husband's passing, Terry moved to Cedar Crest Village to be closer to her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She cherished every moment spent with her family.

Terry loved the simple pleasures of life-cooking delicious meals, visiting the Jersey Shore, and enjoying a good glass of wine in the company of those she loved. Her laughter, warmth, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Terry is lovingly survived by her son, Michael and his wife Kelly; her grandchildren, Michael and Madison; her brothers, Vincent Parrillo and his wife Martie, Douglas Parrillo and his wife Leni, and Jack Parrillo and his wife Annie; and her sister, Joan Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; her grandson, Sean; and her brother-in-law, Lou Taylor.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, November 7 at Scanlan's.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry's memory to Chilton Medical Center would be greatly appreciated by her family.
