Denis Pilch Obituary

Denis M. Pilch
Cheshire - Denis M. Pilch, 75, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Linda (Copeland) Pilch.
Mr. Pilch was born May 7, 1950, in Waterbury, the son of the late Allan and Margaret Mary (Tehan) Pilch. He was raised in Waterbury and had been a resident of Cheshire for over 50 years.
Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his children Denis M. Pilch Jr. (Jessica Zampella-Pilch) and Amanda Pilch (Dion Watson) and his grandchildren Aidan, Mackenzie, Brendan, and Caitlin Zampella-Pilch, Poppy and Daisy Watson; his beloved cat, Oliver; as well as his siblings Margaret Mary, Allan, Mary Anne, James, Thomas, Anne Marie, Rosemary, Patrick, and Stephen and many nieces and nephews.
Denis graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1968 and earned his undergraduate and executive MBA from University of New Haven. He spent many hours coaching youth sports, was treasurer for Cub Scout Pack 198, and served as co-president with his wife of the Doolittle School PTO.
He enjoyed gardening and vacationing in Ogunquit, Maine where he was often seen on the deck of Barnacle Billy's eating a bowl of clam chowder. Denis was a longtime fan of the Red Sox and UCONN basketball.
Arrangements- Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St. On Friday, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish/St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St. Friends are asked to meet directly at church.
