Denise Jensma, age 62, passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2021 at her home in Sedalia, Colorado.

She was born April 23rd, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri to Donald and Donna (Miller) Person. She graduated from Douglas County High School in 1976. She married Michael Norton in 1977 and had three children, Melissa, Corey and Courtney. She was remarried in 1986 to Jay Jensma and had two children, Janelle and Colby. Denise was hair stylist, homemaker, EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and administrative assistant.

Denise's mother Donna remarried Cecil Snyder (Dad) in 1972. The family grew to eight children.

Denise loved her eight grandchildren most of all. She was known as Grandma or Namma. She had a unique connection and a special bond with them all. Denise also followed many special needs children on social media as well. Her oldest sibling David has special needs and lives in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Denise faced a multitude of health-related issues in her life and always exhibited the strength and tenacity to continue her work to support her family.

Denise was preceded in death by her mother Donna Snyder, "Dad" Cecil Snyder; first husband Michael Norton. She is survived by her husband, Jay; children, Melissa (Mitch), Corey (Paige), Courtney, Janelle (Ty), and Colby; brothers, David, Donald, John and James; sisters, Deiadra, Denean and Sue. Eight grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Trinity, Lily, Bailey, Jaylan, Kailer, Lincoln; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Family will entertain guests from 1-5 pm on April 24th, 2021 at 2811 Oakland Dr. Sedalia, Colorado to remember Denise's life. Please feel free to stop by and share a memory, a laugh or just reminisce. In lieu of flowers or would just like to help, you can donate to,
