Denise Soricelli entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, she was 91 years of age.
Denise was born to Edward F Logue and Maryann "Mamie" Prendergast on August 30, 1932, and the younger sister to Margaret "Peggy" Cioffi who passed away in 2007.
She graduated from Peekskill High School in 1950. She started work right after high school at the old Peekskill Hospital on Bay St and continued when they moved and became Hudson Valley Hospital where she worked for 47 years before retiring in 1994.
She married Robert Soricelli on 2/5/1966 and was happily married until his death in 2009.
Dee never had children of her own, but was there through the whole lives of her nephews John Jr., Patrick, Timothy Cioffi, and niece Mary Colleen Cioffi Sokerka. She loved and cared for them as her own. You couldn't have asked for a more loving and caring Aunt.
Denise enjoyed life, and loved getting together with friends, parties dancing, and a good martini! But she especially loved gatherings and holidays with her family.
She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
She had a happy and fulfilling life here on earth and now is at peace in her everlasting home.
As long as you live in our hearts, you will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery
