Denise Rae Stenstrom

Denise Rae Stenstrom, age 61, of Ramsey, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital after a courageous and hard-fought battle with lung cancer. Denise met her journey with strength, grace, and an enduring love for her family that never wavered.

Denise was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and her love for them was constant, fierce, and unconditional. She had a way of making those around her feel cared for and welcomed, whether through quiet conversations, shared laughter, or simply being present when it mattered most.

She is survived by her loving children: Neil (Katherine), Erik (Brooke), Zachary, and Brianna; and her cherished grandchildren: Aubree Rae, Owen, Meredith, Jedd, and Reid, who brought immeasurable light and joy into her life. Denise is also survived by her brother David Krieling Jr., half-brother Doug Blum, half-sister Donna Marsh, along with many other dear relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen George Stenstrom, and her parents, Carol and David Krieling Sr., whom she now joins in eternal peace.

A celebration of Denise's life will be held on Friday, January 16, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior, at Christ Lutheran Church, 641 89th Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55434. Interment will follow at Morningside Cemetery.

Following the service and interment, family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life at Bunker Hills Event Center beginning at 2:00 p.m. This time will be an opportunity to view photos, share memories, and celebrate the life of Denise Rae Stenstrom. Sandwiches will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.

Denise will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, and the deep love she carried for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the lives she touched.

Denise truly loved flowers, and they brought her so much joy. To celebrate her life, we invite you to wear something floral in her memory-big or small, bold or subtle. Your flowers will help make the day as beautiful and vibrant as she was.
