Mrs. Dennia Chadwell, 72, of Cannon, passed away Sunday evening, August 10, 2025 at the Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pineville. She was born April 7, 1953 at Hammons Fork, the daughter of the late Harlan and Oda Smith Taylor.
Dennia was a former CTA Acoustics employee and believed in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed keeping busy and helping others. Dennia also loved to travel, enjoying trips to Hawaii, California and the Grand Canyon. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
On June 30, 1972, she united in marriage with Larry Wayne Chadwell, who preceded her in death, and to this union two children were born.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J. C. and Harlan Taylor and a niece, Buffy Smith.
Survivors include her loving children, Larry David Chadwell and wife, Dayna, of Aragon, GA and Shannon Moler and husband, Randy, of Woodbridge, VA; sisters, Wilma Sherrod and husband, Mark, of Knoxville, TN and Carrol Chavies and husband, Dennis, of Himyar; a brother, T. J. Taylor and wife, Sheila, of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Joy Taylor of Girdler; cherished grandchildren, Connor and Chris Moler, Zachary Chadwell, Hayden and Nathan Hyatt; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, August 15 at 7:30 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Chadwell Cemetery Saturday, August 16 at 10 A.M.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 6 P.M. until the funeral hour. Saturday family and friends will leave the funeral home at 9:45 A.M. and travel in procession to the cemetery.
