Dennis Donald Baumann

Dennis D. Baumann, of Floodwood, MN, passed away November 15th, 2025, at the Minnesota VA Home in Silver Bay, MN surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born to Henry and Helen (Blackwood) Baumann, in Duluth, MN but raised in Floodwood along with his 5 siblings. He graduated from Floodwood High School. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he spent a 20-year career in the service, achieving Master Sergeant rank. Dennis met his wife, JoAnn Houck, and they married on October 15th, 1955, and raised their two children, Denise and Mark.

Dennis was a proud veteran and was involved with DAV and VFW Post #8299 in Floodwood. He was also a member of the Cromwell Fire Department for 23 years.

He is preceded in death by his spouse, JoAnn; parents, Henry and Helen; granddaughter, Katie; siblings, Dick Baumann, Nancy Baumann, Kathy Baker.

Dennis is survived by his children; Denise and Mark (Cathy); grandchildren, Dillon and Briana (Dakota) Johnson; great-grandchildren, JaQuez, Tayum, and Eden; siblings, Mike (Linda) Baumann and Meredith (Terry) Hill; and many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

Per Dennis's wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Private family inurnment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Cromwell with military honors.
