Dennis A. Blanchflower, 71, of Pascoag, RI, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the
Hope Health Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the
devoted husband of the late Gail (Potter) Blanchflower.
Born in Woonsocket, Dennis was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Morris) Blanchflower. A
graduate of the William M. Davis Jr. Career and Technical Institute, Dennis honed his skills as a
mechanic, working for 30 years at Segal Oldsmobile in Woonsocket. During this time, he met
and married the love of his life, Gail, with whom he shared many cherished memories. He was
passionate about his work and loved spending time with his family, working in his garage, and
caring for his home.
Dennis leaves behind his children, Gage Blanchflower of Pascoag and Amy Blanchflower of
Woonsocket; his stepdaughter, Charlene Tupper of Cranston; two brothers, Thomas (Joanne)
Blanchflower of North Carolina and Michael (Wendy) Blanchflower of Woodstock, CT; his sister,
Lori (Alan) Rogler of Chepachet; and three grandchildren, Avagail, Joshua, and Jace, who brought
him much joy. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and his dog and faithful
companion, Shotzy.
Dennis will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew him.
The family is deeply grateful to the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Hope Hospice whose
kindness, comfort and guidance made a difficult time more bearable.
Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00
