Robert R. Ducharme, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Woonsocket, Robert was the beloved son of the late Leo "Popps" Ducharme and Loretta (Nault) Ducharme. He grew up with a strong work ethic and carried that throughout his life as a proud union carpenter for Local 107. His hands built more than just homes – they built a life of love, laughter, and family memories that will last forever.
Robert was a man with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. He was known for his jokes, his ability to make people feel welcome, and the way he became a father figure to many beyond his own children. More than anything, he loved being a husband, dad, and Pépère – titles he wore with pride and joy. He found peace in the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, or hunting, and having his dog Abbey always by his side.
He is survived by his devoted wife Paula (Gagnon) Ducharme of Glendale; his daughters: Keri Greenwalt of Austin, TX, Kayla Thompson of Pascoag, and Caitlin Robinson of North Smithfield and his grandchildren: Greyson and Austin, who were the light of his life. Robert also leaves behind his siblings: Roger Ducharme, Leo Ducharme Jr., and Lynn Dorsey, along with countless friends who were touched by his kindness.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Robert's life on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM at Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Avenue, Pascoag.
