Dennis E. Boldt, age 71, of Medina, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Born October 1, 1953 in Batavia, Dennis was a son of the late Eugene and Eleanor (Kowalik) Boldt of Elba. Dennis was employed at Eastman Kodak in Rochester for 25 years. Sadly, he suffered a debilitating stroke at the age of 48. He fought a brave battle to regain some semblance of normal life. Dennis was proud of his long and successful career at Kodak. In his healthier years, he was a devoted member of the Elba Fire Department and gave generously of his time to the community. He found great joy in tending his garden, where his green thumb was evident in every season. An avid runner and an impressive handyman, he rarely came across something he couldn’t fix. Above all, Dennis was a devoted father, grandfather, husband and friend, whose love and support touched everyone who knew him.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda Boldt; his two daughters, Hillary (Shawn) Beldue and Kimberly (Nate) Hopkins; three grandchildren, Tanner Beldue and Lexi and Liza Hopkins; sister, Diane (James) Snyder; brother, Douglas Boldt (close friend, Bill Scroger); sister in-law, Diane Boldt; former daughter in-law, June Boldt; two stepdaughters, Tammy (Timothy) Fearby and Dawn VanNostrand; five step-grandchildren, Kara (Michael) Zambito, Nicholas (Sara) Fearby, Bailey (Jon) Wells, Tyler Ames and Rylee VanNostrand; and six step-great-grandchildren, Charli, Vinny, Violet, Harlyn, Judd and Cal; nieces and nephews, David (Kathy) Brown, Nicole (Vito Muoio) Boldt and Zachary Boldt. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Gary Boldt and nephew, John Brown.
