On July 27, 2023, Dennis John Casey died at his home at the age of 86 with his family lovingly by his side.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Dianne Williams Casey, their children, Janet Casey (Sam) in Apopka FL, Karen O'Donnell (Joe) Apopka, Denise Vogel (Tom) Nashville TN, Scott Casey (Jessica) Apopka, FL.
He is proceeded in death from by parents, John & Adel Casey, and his son in law, Tom Vogel. He has 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Dennis was born on Dec 27,1936 in Queens NY to John and Adel Casey. He was an only child.
Dennis graduated from John Adams High School with honors in 1954. He enjoyed being a lifeguard in Rockaway Beach while going to high school.
He went on to study at Clarksville University in NY. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics and continued on to Hofstra University earning a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
He served in the US Air force in the A2C ARMA Division as Field Service Engineer developing the Polaris Submarine Navigation System. Kickstarting a 34-year Career in Aero Space and Defense Technology.
In 1964, he married the love of his life, Dianne Williams in New Haven, CT. He adopted her two girls, Janet and Karen. Dennis and Dianne went on to have two more children, Denise and Scott.
Thru the years, Dennis enjoyed carpentry and putting his engineering skills to use at home. He fixed anything and everything-from cars to boats to adding new additions onto the house.
In 1992, Dennis retired and enjoyed his time logging many miles Traveling. He loved boating, fishing, hunting, and Scuba diving. Most of all, his favorite times were having large family gatherings (which he named "The Extravaganzas") where he was always the life of the party.
A private memorial service will be held in Longwood, FL.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made Alzheimer's Society or for his love of the ocean, Padi Aware or Ocean Conservatory.
