Dennis Edward (Ed) Christian Jr. born December 24, 1941, was called to his heavenly home June 6, 2025.
Ed was born to Dennis and Cora Christian of Church Hill. Ed was a jack of all trades and a master of all. After serving in the United States Navy, he went on to be an auto mechanic owning a well-known business in the heart of Church Hill. He held many other titles throughout his life, but Dad and Papaw were the most important to him.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother Vernon Christian, and a granddaughter Elizabeth Bryant.
He is survived by daughter Tonya Bolden (husband Joey), son Jake Christian (wife Heather), and son Larry Yakley, as well as 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, nieces Heather Christian Sumners and Brooke Christian, and his beloved companion Dog.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Christian Bend Cemetery, 1438 Christian Bend Road Church Hill, TN 37642. Military honors will be conducted. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM to go in procession to the cemetery. If you do not wish to meet at the funeral home, please meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandson Dallas Bolden and son Larry Yakley. Pallbearers will be Joey Bolden, Matt Christian, Michael Franklin, Bailey Kenner, Gary Houle, and Dustin Fish. The family greatly appreciates all the calls, texts, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
