Dennis J. Culbertson

Dennis J. Culbertson, 80, of Erie and N. Ft. Myers, FL, passed away Monday August 14, 2023. He was born in Erie on October 12, 1942 a son of the late Wilmer A. and Catherine Heinrich Culbertson.
Dennis graduated from East High School in 1962 and served in Vietnam as a Seabee in the United States Navy. He worked as a regulator technician for National Fuel Gas for 31 years until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club, Zukor Club, South Erie Turners, the Amvets, American Legion Post #773, Elks Lodge #67, and a life member of the VFW Post #470. He enjoyed bald eagles and the American flag.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Judi Southworth Lipchik Culbertson.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Barbara Farrell Culbertson; two sons, Tim Culbertson (Ginny) and Rob Culbertson (Carla), all of Erie; one daughter, Ann Mary (Bill), of Erie; three stepsons, Charles Lipchik of N. Ft. Myers, FL, John Williams (Brianne) of Manheim, PA, and Christopher Williams (Jen) of Erie; two stepdaughters, Shelly Wilmoth (Mark) of Erie and Anne Williams of San Diego, CA; one sister, Karen Cambron (John) of Louisville, KY; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
