Dennis Wayne Deloach, 78, a dedicated family man and veteran, passed away on July 6, 2025, in Halethorpe, Maryland. Born on July 16, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, Dennis lived a life marked by service, love, and a passion for community.

He attended Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School before joining the military. Dennis served his country with honor as a Quartermaster in the US Navy for six years. His commitment to service continued as he worked for the Baltimore City Police Department and fulfilled the role of Military Policeman in the US Army. He dedicated many years of his life to the military, ultimately retiring as a Sergeant First Class in 1990. His distinguished military career not only exemplified his dedication to protecting and serving, but also inspired a lifelong commitment to the principles of discipline and honor.

After retiring from the military, Dennis continued to contribute to his community by working security at Fort Meade and Martin State Airport. This was a testament to his enduring spirit of vigilance and service.

Outside of his professional life, Dennis found joy in various hobbies. He loved to fish, appreciating the tranquility that came with the activity. He also enjoyed country line dancing and karaoke, activities that brought him happiness and spirited connections with others. One of his most cherished practices was writing poems to his beloved wife, Glenda, on their anniversaries. This romantic gesture highlighted the deep love and affection he had for her.

He is survived by his brother, Larry Deloach and brother, Thomas Deloach, along with his sons, Shane Manis (Katie), Jason Gibson, Sr. (Ashlee), and Chad Gibson (DeAnna). He took great pride in his grandchildren, including Jason Gibson, Jr., Alex Manis, Olivia Manis, Harper Gibson, Chad Gibson, Jr., and Hudson Gibson, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. Dennis is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Vickie Foye (Keith), and Elaine Bosserman (Don); his brothers-in-law, Jerry Manis (Colleen), and Steve Manis (Cheryl), alongside many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember him fondly.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Glenda Susan Deloach; his father, Clyde Deloach; his mother, Ruth Hook, and his stepfather, Harold Hook.

Dennis Wayne Deloach will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, and his zest for life.
