Dennis Michael England

Dennis Michael England, born March 18, 1948, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday evening, November 17, 2024.
Mike attended Blanton's Chapel Elementary School, and then graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1966. He then went to college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated with a degree in Agriculture.
For many years, Mike owned a successful dairy farm and sold milk to Mayfield Dairy and Dean Foods. After Mike sold his dairy farm, he followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Horace Teal, and his uncle, L.A. Teal, by earning his real estate license. He entered into business with his uncle, L.A. Teal, and his wife Barbara. Together they served Coffee County and the surrounding area as trustworthy realtors for over thirty years.
He has also served on various Boards of Directors, including Duck River, and People's Bank, and Co-op. He truly enjoyed serving in this capacity for these organizations and cared about the people that work there and loved interacting with them.
On July 20, 1989, Mike married the former Donna M. Cortner. They then moved to a family farm with their son, David Morris, and lived happily together as husband and wife for the past thirty-five years. They have been faithful members of the New Union Church of Christ and enjoyed being with their church family and friends.
Mike loved all his family, including his sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mike dearly loved his daughter-in-law, Shelly Morris, and his three granddaughters, Hannah, Kaitlin, and Allison, who affectionately referred to him as "Pop." They enjoyed time together driving around on the farm, feeding cows, and playing games.
One of Mike's strongest characteristics was his sincere interest in the people he met. He enjoyed meeting people and getting to know them. Many of his friends found Mike to be a trusted confidant who could provide them with wisdom when asked.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Vincent England, and mother Eva C. Teal England Cunningham. He is survived by his wife, Donna England, sister, Jo Harris, sister Rita Quick, uncle L.A. Teal and his wife Barbara, son David Morris and his wife Shelly, granddaughters Hannah, Kaitlin, and Allison Morris, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr. England's visitation will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN, from 10:00am until 1:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 1:00pm with Brother Charles Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.
