Dennis was born on January 8, 1984, in Casper, WY, to Andrew Fischer and Shirley Johnson. He attended various schools in Glenrock, WY, Bemidji, MN, and Aberdeen, SD. Dennis graduated from Central High School in Aberdeen in 2005.
Dennis had a love for life, made many friends, and worked hard. He enjoyed dancing and twirling, music, creating art, traveling, and just being around people. He was active in swimming, bowling, and horseback riding in SPURS with the South Dakota Special Olympics. He looked forward to weekend visits to his mom or dad's house, getting his hair cut by Toni, shopping, and eating out. Dennis lived semi-independently with housemates in Aberdeen and they were close friends. He will be missed for his jokes, teasing, and, most of all, his loving nature.
Grateful for sharing his life are his mother Shirley (Leonard Oberle) Johnson of Mellette; father Andrew Fischer of Fargo, ND; sisters: Monica (Mike) Noble and their children, Ethan and Austin of Sioux Falls, SD, and Chrissy Fischer of Redfield; and brother Mark Fischer of Aberdeen.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and a couple of aunts and uncles.
