He was affectionately known as "Uncle Grumpy" and "Bupie" by those who loved him. Growing up, Dennis loved playing with trains. His passion for trains turned into a family business selling hobby trains. Dennis met a lot of people through this business who grew to be close friends. Dennis' focus and love was his family, and he was always there to lend a hand in his own unique way. This included Gail, his wife of almost 52 years. She was his main focus, and he always made sure she was taken care of first.
Dennis is survived by his wife Gail, his children: Dennis KR (Kristine) Frey, and Jason L. (Amy L.) Frey; his grandchildren: Gabrielle Mere (William) Potratz, Izabelle M. (Caleb) Zitek, Sophia Frey, Fern Frey, Jasper Frey, Gavin Schingen, and Olivia Schingen; his great grandchildren: Hudson and Oaklynn. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Kathy (Steven) Holz and their daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Wymore and family.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents in 2010.
Dennis' absence is profound, but the memories will last a lifetime.
