Lynette L. Thurber "Netty" age 73, of Neenah passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at Theda Care Medical Center in Neenah on Friday October 17, 2025. Netty was born in Appleton on February 15, 1952 daughter of the late Harold and Lucille (Wolf) Yaeger. She graduated from Appleton East High School and lived in the Fox Valley for most of her life. Netty married John Thurber on May 29, 1976. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2011. Netty worked for Kimberly Clark for many years before retirement. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, traveling and spending time at the family cottage in Wabeno. Netty was known and loved for her sassy and sarcastic sense of humor.
She is survived by her son Travis (Tara) Thurber, grandchildren Dalton, Dylan, Claire and Liam Thurber, her daughter-in-law Tonya Thurber, her brothers Curt (Joan) Yaeger and Scott (Kathy) Yaeger, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John and her son Joshua.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Greene's Pour House on the second floor (134 W. Wisconsin Ave., Neenah) on Saturday November 1, 2025. Stop by anytime between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing friends and family and sharing memories.
I love each and every one of you with every ounce of my being. Thank you for caring for me and allowing me to be part of your lives. See you all in heaven.
