Dennis Michael Gale, age 67, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Sunday evening, June 2, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Gale will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Jakin Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Brock and George Lamberth officiating. Interment will follow in Jakin Cemetery with Clay Smith, Cody Sapp, Andy Penn, Tommy Spooner, Blake Gale, and Michael Gale serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, June 5, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Mr. Gale was born in Jacksonville, FL on April 8, 1957, to Edward Leonard Gale and Shelby Murphy Gale. He graduated from Seminole County High School in 1975 and was engaged in farming for a good portion of his life and was a professional wrestler. Dennis began wrestling at the age of 19 and was a member of Continental Championship Wrestling and WrestleMerica. In the wrestling world he was known as “Cowboy Dennis Gale”. He loved the outdoors and animals, and he especially enjoyed fishing. Dennis loved to boast about his children and grandchildren and was always very involved in their sports events and had served as a softball coach for the Seminole County Rec Department in the past. Mr. Gale was also a past member of the Georgia Young Farmers Association and was a member of Jakin Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Stacey Gale of Jakin, GA; his mother, Shelby Gale of Jakin, GA; his daughters, Tabitha Penn and her husband Andy of Dothan, AL, Kasey Smith and her husband Clay of Bainbridge, GA, and Micaelah Gale of Jakin, GA; his grandchildren, Braidden Bagwell, Tanner Cole, Gaven Cole, Olivia Cole, Stephen Woodham, Charlie Smith, and Lauren Smith; as well as a great grandchild, Kingsleigh Jean Bagwell. Also surviving are his sister, Diana Spooner and her husband Tommy, as well as several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Gale was preceded in death by his father, Ed Gale and his brothers, Ed Gale, Jr. and Kip Gale.
