Dennis Hammon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alternatives Cremation and Funeral Service - Oklahoma City on Mar. 26, 2025.
Dennis Lee Hammon passed away March 18, 2025, at the age of 88. He was currently a resident of the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs in Clinton, Oklahoma. Although, the majority of his years had been spent in Washington state. His time in Oklahoma allowed for him to be taken care of by his daughters and the wonderful staff of the Clinton VA. It was during this time that his daughters were able to spend time with him and see a different side of him.
Dennis enlisted in the Navy when he was 19 years old. He served seven years. He fought in the Korean War. He received the China Service Award. He was very proud of his time in the Service. And was very proud to be a Veteran.
Dennis worked in the shipyards in Washington and retired from Western Metal. Dennis loved living in Washington state. He loved being closer to his parents and siblings and living near the ocean. He loved his wife Sharon and their dog, Buddy.
Although Dennis is gone, we will always carry his memory in our hearts.
