Dennis Harris Obituary
Dennis was born March 11, 1962, in Carson City, the son of Vern and Elizabeth Short. He graduated from Carson City High School. After high school, Dennis joined the Marines. Upon his honorable discharge, Dennis moved back to Carson City and worked for Elenbass Steel Supply Company.
Dennis married Ada Louise Wing on June 29, 1991, on Clifford Lake. Together they raised two wonderful children: Gary and Ada. Dennis and Ada both enjoyed spending time outdoors, which included everything from camping to road trips, to NASCAR. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting.
Left to cherish Dennis's memory are his children Gary Pitts and Ada (Carlos Beltran) Wing III; grandchildren Miguel Beltran, Mia Ann Beltran, Jazmine Beltran, Jersey Beltran, and Chloe Pitts; great-grandchildren Oliver Weaver, Marianna, and Adalyne, sisters Kim Short, Corrine Short, Connie Evergreen and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Ada in 2024.
Per Dennis's wishes, cremation has taken place with a memorial celebration to be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City. To view Dennis's obituary or to leave a condolence for the family, please visit www.luxfuneralhomes.com.
