Dennis Dean Jacob (Jake) of Emmaus, Pennsylvania passed away at age 70 on November 1, 2024 at Phoebe Allentown Healthcare Center. Cause of death was related to complications from a stroke suffered in 2022. Jake was born at home in Macungie, PA on March 3, 1954. He and ex-wife Karen founded, owned and operated J.A.K. General Contractor for more than 25 years. Jake balanced a strong work ethic with a care-free personality. He had a gambler's spirit about him and enjoyed watching football, playing pool and casino games; he would bet you a single dollar on just about anything under the sun just to make things interesting. He was an animal lover through and through and cherished pet companionship, most recently with dog Clova. He was big-hearted toward loved ones and would give the shirt off his back for a friend in need. His front door was always open and there was always a seat at the kitchen table for guests, as long as it wasn't his – he loved to host and socialize with close friends. One of the things he would always look forward to were summer vacations in Wildwood, NJ with family and friends. Those closest to Jake will remember him as a loving son, husband, father, friend, and neighbor.
Son of the late Evelyn (Butz) Jacob and Francis Jacob. Survived by son Ryan Jacob and ex-wife Karen Jacob. Preceded in death by sister Marlene (Jacob) Fizer and brother Larry Jacob. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dennis Jacob (Jake) can be made to Last Chance Ranch at 9 Beck Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 or go to lastchanceranch.org.

So my first recollection of Jake was....when he came by in his red convertable to pick Karen up for a date. I couldn't have been more than 12 years old and I will never ever forget that day!

Jake, I will forever remember all of those summers at Wildwood with Karen, Ryan and the whole gang at Elsie´s place. We had so much fun! And how can I forget our nights at Pine Tree Tavern and then going back to the Jacob´s house! Those were the days! Timmy and I shall miss you my friend! RIP till we see you on the other side

Macungie Park had Friday night roll skating in a small rink that doubled as a small basketball court. It was always packed with lots of friends. They had special skates for couples. Somehow Dennis and I hit it off and for a while he would always pick me for couples skates. Got to talk to him about it at a prior reunion. It's a great memory and I am sad to hear of his passing.

As sophomores in High School, not many of us had our drivers license. Jake was the first. He came by in his '64 Mustang to pick a couple of us up for a drive. I seem to remember him hitting 100 MPH on 309 coming down off south mountain. Jake was never boring. Rest in peace my old friend.
